Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish has continued to look increasingly likely to leave the club and could engineer a move from Villa Park as early as this summer. The England international attacking midfielder is a major transfer target for Premier League giants Manchester United as the Red Devils want to add more quality to their squad in the coming transfer windows. However, talks about a move for the midfielder have stalled after Villa insisted that they would not be bringing down their asking price from £120 million.
Jurgen Klopp is a huge admirer of Grealish and has told Liverpool bosses that he will love them to help secure his signing. But a deal for the player will be dependent on whether Aston Villa will be willing to reduce the amount they are currently holding out for.
United were willing to pay as much as £70 million for Grealish last summer but Villa’s asking price of £80 million back then was too much for the Red Devils to splash out. They have now increased the asking price from £80 million to £120 million, making it even more difficult for any club to afford him comfortably.
Liverpool want to sign a replacement for departing star Wijnaldum but could be forced to look elsewhere if the player’s asking price is not reduced.
