This season of the Premier League has not kicked off in the best way for Liverpool as they have suffered a number of defeats against: Manchester City, Aston Villa and West Ham United while also having to settle with draws when playing with Everton and Hull City. Liverpool has dropped a large amount of points in the early stages of their campaign in this new season in the top tier English league.
There are a number of reasons on why the season of Liverpool has not clicked into full gear. The departure of Luis Suarez is still being felt by the squad as the Uruguayan attacker was the main goal-scoring machine for Liverpool in the last season and no one has been able to fully fill his void which was left when he was sold to Barcelona.
Daniel Sturridge was turning into a reliable goal-scoring option for Brendan Rodgers at Liverpool but the player is now troubled by injury. Mario Balotelli has not managed to live up to all the expectations that were originated when he was signed from Ac.Milan.
All of these are some of the main reasons on why the season of Liverpool have been so slow, or at least those are a few of what all the fingers are putting the blame on.
Brendan Rodgers is also being put in the radar of the media as one of the figures which can be blamed for the slow start of the season but the former Liverpool player, Luis Suarez has backed him up as the Uruguayan forward had nothing but praise to say concerning his former coach.
“Brendan spoke to me in Spanish and he told me to give him time, to give him a chance, and that I would like the way we were going to play. It would suit me. From the start, it convinced me. It made sense. And although the results weren’t good, I could see that we were playing better. I was excited.”
“Liverpool is in very good hands with Brendan Rodgers. The way he coached us during my time there was impressive and I am sure that the methods I enjoyed and found so effective will continue to be employed’’ Suarez told the media.
Luis Suarez stated that Liverpool is in good hands under the control of Brendan Rodgers and with time, the club will start climbing to the top spots of the Premier League but it will only happen with time according to Barcelona’s €94 million signing Suarez.
